Dear Mary Re: Youth for Human Rights International, I applaud the purpose of Youth for Human Rights International, "To teach Youth around the globe about Human Rights, thus helping them to become valuable advocates for the promotion of Tolerance and Peace."
It was a pleasure working together with you on the European Essay-Writing Contest last August and September that I was patron of. I fully support your endeavor to educate youth 8–18 years old about Human Rights, in alignment with the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education 1995–2004.
Youth today are not given basic education about human rights and yet these principals are the building blocks to any free society. Organizations such as yours are therefore bringing about a worthwhile change in the future. Least we not forget, that the children of today are our future.
I would strongly recommend Youth for Human Rights International to educational and youth institutions and organizations.
Sincerely,
Irving Sarnoff
