The 12th annual Youth for Human Rights International Human Rights Summit 2015 to be held in New York from August 27th to the 29th with Conferences at the United Nations Headquarters, brings youth from around the world together to make Human Rights a global reality.

Youth for Human Rights International is proud to co-organize the Summit with Human Rights Department of the Church of Scientology International and supporting organizations. International Youth Ambassadors will present their respective Human Rights Education activities. The Human Rights Heroes 2015 awards will be presented to acknowledge those who have made outstanding contributions in the field of Human Rights.

The purpose of Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI) is to teach youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and inspire them to become advocates for tolerance and peace. The mission of YHRI is educational and apolitical, focusing on teaching universal human rights as set out in the United Nations UDHR. Our accomplishments of the previous year and our goals for the following year will be covered at the Summit.

SUMMARY OF EVENTS:
August 27 - International Human Rights Summit [at UN HQs]
August 28 - Leadership Workshop for Youth Delegates [at UN HQs]
August 29 - Multi-Cultural Human Rights Celebration

CONFERENCE FEES:
There are no admission fees for the International Human Rights Summit meetings and events.

CONFERENCE ATTIRE:
Business attire or traditional dress is appropriate for all events and meetings.

YOUTH DELEGATES:
Youth Delegate application forms for those between 18 and 29 years old are available at:

Based on merit, only 30 Youth Delegates will be selected to represent their respective countries.

LIMITED SPONSORSHIPS:
There are NO sponsorships available for airfares, visa or mandatory travel insurance.
Only the 30 Youth Delegates (18 to 29 years) representing their respective countries are eligible to apply for the limited number of sponsorships for expenses in New York (accommodations, local transport and food), which are based on merit. All other youth and adults participate at their own expense.

TIME SENSITIVE:
Limited participation and seating requires early reservation.
Youth and Adults needing visas to enter the USA must apply immediately to allow sufficient time to get this.
Youth Delegates needing no visas must apply by August 7th.

VISA REQUIRED TO ENTER USA:
